Place and map information
FindNearCity combines map tiles and third-party location data to help users discover places around a chosen point. The site interface identifies TomTom and OpenStreetMap among its map and place-data sources. Different features may rely on different providers.
What location databases contain
Typical place records can include a name, category, coordinates, address, website, phone number or other descriptive fields. Not every result contains every field. The exact information available depends on what the underlying provider has for that location.
Freshness and accuracy
Location data changes constantly. A business may move or close, an EV charger may change operator, and opening hours can change for holidays or special events. FindNearCity is designed for discovery, so important details should be checked with the business, operator or official organisation.
Maps
Used to display roads, geography and result positions.
Points of interest
Used to locate services and businesses by category near the selected search point.
Environmental data
Air-quality, weather, pollen or UV information may have different update intervals and geographic resolution than place results.
Distance is not always travel time
A place that is geographically close may take longer to reach because of rivers, motorways, one-way streets, railways or access restrictions. Use route guidance for travel decisions rather than comparing straight-line distance alone.
Corrections
If a place listing appears incorrect, first confirm the information with the venue or service itself. Where a data provider offers a correction mechanism, reporting the change to that provider can help improve future results.
